With greatness comes resistance.
As you press to grow, your eyes will hear, your ears will feel, your hands will taste, your nostrils will see, and your tongue will discern the aroma of each. Resistance is subtle. It will come in the appearance of those who support you, occurring as non-supportive. It will drive you to disconnect from them. Every small issue will be magnified. Resistance causes you to major in the minors. When you look up, it will leave you alone, distraught, with a mound of significant things to tackle.
Mentoring programs, fellowship programs, and cohorts are designed to equip and empower you. Know the difference between “the reality of what is” vs. “how it occurs” for you. Do not internalize the problem; visualize the solution. If you don’t, resistance will cause you to miss the journey in place of enjoying the journey.
